What is WiSTEM?
WiSTEM (Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is the largest academic student-led society at the University of Essex. We aim to empower women and girls by fostering a supportive, inclusive and opportunity-rich environment. We promote gender equality in STEM by supporting women studying or working in these fields, spreading awareness of diversity issues in STEM, and empowering our community to take an active role in driving change.
